Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accounting Specialist (Accounts Payable) to join our client's dynamic team located in South Pasadena. This position requires a professional who is experienced in full-cycle accounts payable and ideally has experience with sales tax filings and/or business license renewals. This is a approximately a 4 month contract to hire and onsite M-F. This is a great opportunity for someone seeking growth opportunities and who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process, verify, and code invoices for payment in compliance with company policies.
  • Ensure the timely and accurate payment of vendor bills and other obligations.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for all accounts payable transactions.
  • Reconcile vendor statements, investigate discrepancies, and resolve issues promptly.
  • Accounts receivable.

Collaboration & Communication:

  • Provide excellent customer service to internal stakeholders and external vendors.
  • Work collaboratively with other departments and the accounting team to ensure seamless financial operations.
  • Participate in team meetings and foster a positive, solutions-oriented workplace.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of Accounts Payable experience.
  • Sales tax filing and business license renewal experience, strongly preferred.
  • Accounts Receivable experience, a plus!
  • Ideally, experience working with Brex, or the ability to quickly learn and adapt to financial platforms.
